Charlotte Hancock is the director of communications and digital strategy for Generation Progress Action. She is an experienced strategist with a background in creating, implementing, and managing digital advocacy campaigns, brand voice, and organizational storytelling for international nonprofits.
She also oversees GP’s Higher Ed, Not Debt campaign, previously serving as its program director and as its digital director. The campaign is a multi-year, multi-organizational project dedicated to ensuring that an affordable higher education is affordable and accessible to all, without the burden of debt or financial hardship.
Hancock joined HEND from the Society for Neuroscience, where she served as the media communications coordinator and grew and managed the society’s global, digital, and social media presence. Previously, she worked as an on-air reporter and social media coordinator for the CBS affiliate WMNS in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Hancock was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands and graduated from the College of William and Mary with a B.A. in English. In her spare time she enjoys sampling D.C.’s frozen dairy confections.
